HISTORY
Our history began with the family of shipowners and shipbuilders, Alvargonzález, whose ships traded between the port of their hometown, Gijón and Montevideo in 1792.
Since then, we have focused our activity on the operation of our ships and port facilities, specialising in the shipping, storage and handling of solid bulk cargoes.
Over the years, we have expanded through acquisitions and mergers, which have enabled us to increase our operations in more than 40 ports around the world. Today, we offer a worldwide maritime service, always ready to meet the needs of our clients.
Our success is due to the incredible team that makes up our company, along with the technological advances that enable us to operate faster, more efficiently and more sustainably. However, we never settle for what we have already achieved; our goal is to keep moving forward and sail towards excellence!
1792
1792: La familia Alvargonzález manda construir "San José", el primer barco que comerciaba entre Gijón y Montevideo.
1885
La familia Alvargonzález inaugura las primeras oficinas de la empresa en Gijón.
1951
Comienza la actividad como Consignatarios y Estibadores en el Puerto de Avilés.
1970
Expansión nacional: inauguración del puerto de Huelva, primer puerto fuera de Asturias.
1989
Se constituye Ership S.A.
2004
Expansión internacional: inicio de actividad en Colombia a través de la empresa Compas.
2007
Ership Grupo es la primera empresa en contratar sus propios gruístas en Cartagena (liberación de la estiba).
2023
Nombramiento del muelle "Romualdo Alvargonzález" en la ampliación del Puerto de Gijón.
